The festive period brought a welcome break to the Downs (South) and Forest (New).
Walking in Greater Croydon can be a challenge with Hamilton. There is a trail of edible detritus on the streets, and relatively few areas where we can comfortably let him off-lead for a 100% canine-led sniffathon.
So, every time we visit family in Sussex we relish the opportunity to take Ham into the vast countryside and watch him show off the full gamut of his dogginess!
Between Christmas and New Year the three of us also spent a wonderfully restorative three nights in a cabin on the edge of the New Forest – the first such mini-break in what we hope will become an annual tradition.
