I love how photographs can mature over time. I’ve been looking back through some old photos that I took on a trip to Paris in 2007 (I had lofty ideas of it being a pilgrimage to follow in the footsteps of Cartier-Bresson) and it’s striking how my style has changed over time.
Back then I was – seemingly quite demonstrably – inspired by the great street documentarists. Nowadays my personal work is far more subtly styled and (I hope) rewards more prolonged viewing.
